| Forest United | 3 |
| Pinner Albion | 2 |
This was the first of Pinner Albion’s three group games in the League Trophy. With only the winners going through from the group, it was vital to start off with a win. Early on, Pinner Albion matched Forest United, with neither side gaining territorial advantage, and neither side creating clear-cut chances.
It looked as if the half could well remain goalless, but on 27 minutes, a long shot bounced off the goalkeeper and the rebound was tucked home to give Forest United a 1-0 half-time lead.
Pinner Albion started the second half well, when after just three minutes, Keno chased a loose ball into the area and finished left footed into the corner.
Five minutes later, Pinner Albion took the lead with almost a carbon copy of the first goal, when a rebound left Achish clear in the area, and he finished into the same corner.
The lead did not last long, as five minutes later, Forest United equalised with a header over the keeper from a ball that bounced up.
The game was very evenly contested from there, but Pinner Albion tired a little, and were unable to carve out further clear chances. It looked as if the game would end in a draw, which would have been a fair result, but with two minutes left, Forest United scored the winner from distance.
Yet again, Pinner Albion had lost a game in the dying minutes and another good performance went unrewarded.
With a couple of key players missing, Kunal filled in well at centre back and Euan played well in centre midfield. Euan won man of the match for his competitive, ball-winning performance at the centre of midfield.
