The History of Pinner Albion FC
30 Oct 2006

Pinner Albion Football Club is a Volunteer organisation that exists for the benefit of children, youth and adult communities. Although winning and being successful is taking seriously, the emphasis at the Club is, and has always been on enjoyment, team participation and the development of a social contribution.

Pinner Albion Football Club was formed in 1972 by a group of fathers whose sons belonged to the 7th Pinner Scout/Cub Group based at the Pinner Free Church. The club started with one team and played Sunday football in a league of eight.

The following year, the Harrow Youth Football League (HYFL), which had been founded in 1942, asked the clubs involved to form the basis of a new Minors League of boys under the age of 12. Since the eighties Pinner Albion FC has fielded between 6 and 11 teams to play in the HYFL There are sometimes so many boys wishing to join the Club that two teams have had to be formed in certain age groups to accommodate them. The HYFL is affiliated to and sanctioned by the Middlesex County Youth Football Association (MCYFA). Pinner Albion is therefore able to enter the HYFL's league and cup competitions and the MCYFA cup competitions.
